Clementina Njang Yong is health, Human Rights, and Peace Communicator. I am the Head of Department for Communications at the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services.
I was born in the North West Region of Cameroon into the family of Mr. Yong Polycarp Kanjam (of blessed memory) and Mrs. Emelda Bi Yong. I have ten siblings and I am the fourth born in the family. God blessed my parents and gave them the strength to birth and take good care of all of us. I studied Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Buea, with Women’s Studies as my minor discipline.
I started practicing Journalism immediately after I graduated from University. First, I worked as a volunteer reporter for the Cameroon National Daily Newspaper Cameroon Tribune. I, later on, got a job with ABAKWA FM Radio Station in Bamenda and CNTV, both private media outlets. I am a Chevening Scholar and studied Professional Communication at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, UK. I have held several professional positions. I served as the pioneer station Manager of CNTV.
Still, in the professional realm, I am a member of the Commonwealth Journalists Association, and I am the Vice President of the Catholic Journalists Association in Cameroon. I have previously held the posts of Vice Secretary and Financial Secretary of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ), in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
