COMMUNITY SESSION

BUILDING RESILIENCE IN AYSRH

For this global forum, the YSC has decided to focus on Building Resilience in AYSRH. This session highlights experiences in building resilience in AYSRH, will act as a forum for dialogue with  youth and serve as a platform for AYSRH experts to share their experiences. The discussion will highlight the need for increased investment in sexual and reproductive health services for youth, especially during a crisis. There will be a special focus on the current landscape as it pertains to AYSRH policies, contextualized data, youth programs and interventions, youth-led organizations, and addressing the unique needs of adolescents and the barriers magnified by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to not only share the most recent data and policies concerning the health and access to SRH for youth, but also share lived experiences of youth on the ground about what programs and interventions have been sustainable and the lessons we have learned when it comes to facing challenges and continuing to move forward.
