She is a Doctoral Candidate at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria where her research primarily focuses on obstetric violence and respectful maternity care. Kerigo also serves as a research assistant to Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng – UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health and Chairs the Board of Directors of the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights. Kerigo has over 6 years of experience working with young people globally and is passionate about intersectional feminism and how it can be leveraged to address young people’s SRHR needs.
Kerigo has in-depth understanding of the nexus between law, society and human rights and is keen on using this knowledge to advocate for more human-centred design approaches in initiatives focused on addressing young people’s SRHR needs.
