Esenam Amuzu is a passionate and dynamic youth advocate with over 7 years’ experience in sexual and reproductive health rights and youth development advocacy.
An enthusiast in youth advocacy and well versed in the field, Esenam couples her youth advocacy with her passion for adolescent and youth sexual and Reproductive Health including HIV AIDS. Her drive towards youth advocacy equips her to currently host a youth focused radio show, GEMS OF OUR TIME on national radio, Unique FM as a member of the Children and Youth in Broadcasting, Curious Minds.
Esenam is an alumnus of several recognized youth affiliations and networks. She is a Global Changemakers alumni, an European Development Days (EDD) Young Leaders alumni, and the prestigious Women Deliver Young Leaders Program- Class of 2018. She is also an alumnus of the Youth Leaders Fellowship programme of the UNFPA Ghana Country office. She represented youth voices in Kigali Rwanda during the ICFP 2018 Conference. She has also served on many boards and committees and participated in high level policy dialogues both at national and international level including the UN Commission on Population (CPD) and Development and the Commission on the Status of Women. She loves to mentor adolescent girls and volunteers for several organizations including PPAG, Curious Minds, AfriYAN Ghana. She is the Team Lead for My Teen Life, a community-based initiative providing SRH education and mentorship for adolescent girls in rural communities in Ghana. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies.
