HOST YOUR OWN SEGMENT FROM THE ICFP LIVE STAGE IN THAILAND!

You are invited to submit a 10-15 minute segment proposal for the ICFP 2022 Live Community Program hosted on the ICFP Live Stage, our free and accessible platform designed to capture the diversity, expertise, and passion of the FP & SRHR communities, both in-person and virtually.

The ICFP Live Community Program is your opportunity to present your ideas and share your story with over 40,000 people from more than 125 countries.

Proposal submissions open on Thursday, 30 June 2022 and close at 11:59 PM ET on Monday, 15 August 2022

All segments will be livestreamed and made available in the ICFP Live OnDemand Library! 

About the ICFP 2022 Live Stage

The ICFP Live Stage is a new initiative designed to create a FREE “ICFP 2022 virtual experience” for our 40,000+ audience members from around the globe. The Live Stage will be located in the ICFP 2022 Exhibition Hall and will be hosting short, TV-style segments produced by the ICFP Community.

What topics can be proposed for a segment on ICFP Live?

We will be accepting proposals on the following family planning & sexual and reproductive health and rights topics: 

  • Innovations in research, programming or process
  • Urgent topics including humainiarian settings & SRHR policy shifts
  • Learning from failure
  • Breaking down barriers 
  • Unique or unheard persepectives
  • Stories of success and learning
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion

When will community-produced segments air? Are they livestreamed or OnDemand?

The Community-produced segments are slotted to air from 2:30-5:45 PM Pattaya City time (10:30 – 1:45 PM Nairobi | 3:30 – 6:45 AM New York).

All segments will be livestreamed and made available in the OnDemand library immediatly after the segment airs. 

Who should submit a segment idea?

We are exctied to host ICFP Live segements by a variety of organizations, individuals and teams. We envision that the ICFP Live segments hosts will represent the diversity and deep expertise of the ICFP Community.

If you have an idea that you think everyone needs to know about and have an idea for a 10-15 minute virtual session you are capable of producing between September and 14 November, we invite you to conisder submitting a proposal for a segment.

Consider submitting a proposal for a segment idea if you are an advocates, community leader, scientist, researcher, policymaker, practitioner, faith leader, young person or a community member.

What support can segment hosts expect?

If your segment proposal is selected to be part of the ICFP Live Stage program, your main responsiblity will be to develop and manage the segement content and guest management.

The ICFP Live Production Team will provide everything else including onsite support, audience engagement tools, connecting to your livestreaming platforms and virtual guest support. Additionally, we will be available for support and guidance on segement development.

**Note: Submission and/or acceptance to LIVE Stage does not cover registration or travel/accommodation costs.

How will segments be selected?

A review committee will score all submitted segment proposals based on

1.) creativity;

2.) engagement factors; and

3.) the relevance/timeliness of the content.
