Anastasia Pierron has been with the Gates Institute as a program officer since September 2018. She provides logistics planning and coordination for events, including the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP). Anastasia has worked in the events industry for over seven years, with experience planning events ranging from multi-day conferences to fundraisers and weddings. She has worked as an event planner for several Baltimore and Washington D.C based private event companies, such as Linder Global Events. In addition to her extensive event work, Anastasia has a passion for working with adults and youth living and affected by HIV/AIDS. She has worked in various clinics and programs in Baltimore City, MD. Prior to her employment at the Gates Institute, she worked as the PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) case manager at the Johns Hopkins Bartlett Specialty Practice. Anastasia graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Film & Media Studies in 2014.
