Bridget Kezaabu is a Youth Advocacy Associate for International Youth Alliance for Family Planning (IYAFP) under the Empowering Evidence Driven Advocacy project in Uganda. It is from her personal experience using family planning that she picked interest in the work she does.

It is during her 3-year experience in family planning that the Contraceptive Google Map was innovated; together with her teammates. This is an online platform that provides timely information about the available contraceptive services around Kawempe.

Bridget is also a co-author of the article titled ‘’Timely information on available contraceptive services is critical during the covid 19 pandemics’’ She has also been part of the Population Reference Bureau research process and formulation of the outcome advocacy products. She has done presentations about youth access to contraceptives plus the contraceptive google map on various platforms like the Adding It Up virtual workshop organized by Guttmacher Institute and the National Family Planning conference organized by the Ministry of Health, Uganda.

She was also part of the world covid youth task force which would hold discussions and formulate creative ways to promote youth access to SRHR information and services even amidst the pandemic; this was later featured in the Knowledge Access online platform. Her family planning mantra is ‘Do not give up on family planning before you find the method that works best for you.’
