Kutha Banda

Kutha Banda is a Demographer and a Public Health Specialist working as a Senior Research Capacity Building & Knowledge Translation Officer with the National Health Research Authority in Zambia. She has over eight years of experience working in development mostly in the health sector through Non-profits, academics and Government Institutions. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Demography. She has worked with many organisations including the Ministry of Health Zambia, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Zambia, Development Data, and the University of Zambia-Populations Studies department. She has worked in different capacities and portfolios such as programs management, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), and research in Zambia and other countries. Kutha is passionate about health equity and appreciates the importance of evidence-based decision making as a cornerstone of innovation and development, therefore, she strives to use her analytical skills to promote utilization of evidence to inform decisions.
