Olasumbo Modupe is a Broadcast Journalist with Lagos Television, Nigeria. She develops content through Storytelling for Social Change. Presently, she anchors and produces Sound Health.
As a Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights Advocate, Olasumbo realized the need to intensify efforts at increasing awareness on the use of modern Contraceptives and Maternal Mortality Reduction by partnering with a private Provider of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Products (DKT Nigeria) to develop content, anchor and also produce a weekly 45-minute programme. This earned her one of the World’s Advocate of Reproductive Health Issues and Family planning by the 120under40 initiative, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Johns Hopkins University. She is also a two-time Nordica Media Merit Award for her Reportage on Fertility issues.
Olasumbo is a Graduate of Mass Communication and has a master’s in International Relations with focus on Diplomacy and Strategic Studies.
Olasumbo is a RNTC and The Moth Global Programme Fellow.
