Progress Toward FP2020 Commitments
In 2012, we committed to putting reproductive rights, women’s empowerment, and gender equality at the center of our sexual, reproductive, and maternal health programming and policy work. Here we report on our progress and share key updates.
CARE is committed to advancing health equity and rights for all, with a special focus on ensuring sexual and reproductive health and rights in both stable and fragile/crisis-affected settings. We take a rights-based, public-health approach that addresses discrimination and disparities in all their forms, and which ensures equitable to access to quality health services.
In response to COVID-19, CARE is working with local partners and governments to slow the spread of the virus, protect and empower health providers, strengthen community-based health and support systems, ensure continuity of essential health services (including SRHR) and build back resilient and inclusive health systems.
