CONTRIBUTION TO FAMILY PLANNING
EngenderHealth envisions a gender-equal world where all people achieve their sexual and reproductive health and rights. We work with communities, institutions, and governments to dismantle gender-based barriers and to ensure people’s access to the information and services that they need to make their own sexual and reproductive decisions and, more broadly, to exert control over their lives.
Our work includes:
– Comprehensive sexuality education
– Contraceptive counseling and services
– Comprehensive abortion care
– Maternal healthcare, including fistula prevention and treatment
– Prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS and other STIs
– Prevention, detection, and treatment of cervical cancer
– Support and services for survivors of gender-based violence
COVID-19 and SRHR
Crises such as pandemics often exacerbate existing gender inequalities and can have devastating impacts on women, girls, and vulnerable populations. That’s why it is critical that we continue to protect and advance sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here’s what EngenderHealth is doing.
Advancing Gender Equality through SRHR
EngenderHealth strives to achieve gender equality both in and through sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) by integrating a gender-transformative approach across all our programs. We work to expand access to SRHR services and information to ensure equal rights, resources, responsibilities, and opportunities.
