Update on the ICFP2022 Visa Application Pre-Approval Process

Thai November Holiday Update
The Thai government has declared a holiday for those who work in Bangkok from 16-18 November 2022. As a result, many people are likely to travel to Pattaya City to vacation at this time.
For this reason, we strongly encourage those planning on attending ICFP 2022 in person to book accommodations as soon as possible before hotels in Pattaya City fill up.

In-person COVID-19 Attendance Requirement
You must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 *by Monday, 31 October 2022 in order to attend the
conference in-person.
*Individuals who have received all recommended doses of a COVID-19 vaccine listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization (WHO) are considered to be fully vaccinated.
Proof of vaccination will be verified prior to venue entry, so each conference participant will be required to submit a valid dated vaccination certificate in advance. More information will be provided to registered attendees closer to October 2022.
Yellow Fever Update
As of 1 July 2022, Thailand requires proof of yellow fever vaccination from or through certain countries prior to entry
- (Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela)
If you are a resident in one of the countries listed, please submit your yellow fever vaccine certificate via the electronic health declaration form found on the following website: https://thaihealthpass.com/

Travel Insurance
It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance to cover travel expenses, such as flights, accommodations, etc.
Note: Venue capacity restrictions are not likely to be covered under travel insurance policies. Please review the terms and conditions of your policy to ensure that it provides the level of protection for which you are looking.

Transportation
The hotels that are confirmed as official conference hotels are also those for which transportation will be provided to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport – Bangkok (BKK) as well as to and from the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH). There will not be transportation service to or from any other airport other than BKK.
Please note that advance registration for the shuttle is not required and reservations are not available. Shuttles will leave at least once an hour from BKK to Pattaya.
Note: Attendees who book their stay elsewhere must access transportation on their own, or travel to one of the designated ICFP hotels to travel in the provided conference transportation.

Shuttle Routes:
There will be three shuttle routes – Blue Route (#1), Yellow Route (#2), and Green Route (#3).
Routes remain the same each day.

Registration Information
On-site Registration
Registration for in person attendance for the 2022 ICFP is now closed. Virtual registration will remain open until l14 November 2022.
There will be NO on-site registration at the 2022 ICFP due to COVID-19 (including registration transfers). There will be absolutely NO exceptions will be made to this rule.

Group Registration
Group registration for the 2022 ICFP is now closed.
This registration option was available for parties of 5 people or more from the same organization.
Registration Fees
ICFP2022 registration DOES NOT include:
- Travel and visa expenses (visa requirement dependent on passport country)
- Accommodation expenses
- Travel insurance (recommended)
